The next morning

Byte Night has turned into morning, and the event was a great success.

After an excellent night's sleep (OK, two broken and freezing hours of torture) the group awoke to a bright, clear London morning and bacon sandwiches courtesy of Wagamamas. (Sorry to keep banging on about the cold. But it was.)

Thanks also to Pret a Manger, who provided our midnight snacks. For reference, a falafel sandwich makes a reasonable pillow.

Colder

It has got very cold. Even the bottle of Claymore whiskey someone I am unable to name is passing around isn't helping...

It's very cold

About 400 people have just moved from the Ernst & Young building to Potters Field to bed down for the night.

One small point - it really is cold. Very, very cold.

I've found a small corner of plastic sheeting at the side of the LEWIS PR contingent - but fear I will be face down in mud by dawn.

There is a strange atmosphere - the most common phrase at the moment is "where are my socks?"
